Summery of the World

The story takes place in an alternate modern sci-fi fantasy dystopia Earth.

The view of the world ( or the main culture) is an alternate universe of our own where events changed drastically with humans developing powers. The main series takes place in an unspecified year (for now) but it's a world that's been built on the ruins of old war torn lands. The main continent (called The Main Land) where the majority of people live is basically our version of North America with the top fifth of South America as the area is much less polluted and poisoned from bombs that detonated decades ago. The rest of the world except for a few very specific places are grouped together as The Islands. The Islands are varying sized landmasses that are much more polluted and has a much more hazardous environment. But, The Islands also have the majority of wanted resources, so they can't be completely ignored by those of the Main Land. But the Main Land holds a military dictatorship over The Islands and there are constant battles and skirmishes between locals and soldiers. The story mainly progresses on the Main Land and in the first arc mainly takes place in a Learn To Be complex (small city size school for children ten to eighteen)

Learn To Be takes the concept that everyone in the world has some sort of power with no exceptions. The power could be as simple of always flipping to the right page of a book to flying, to causing a heart to explode with a kiss on the lips. Depending on how powerful your power is you are designated to a certain section, 1 being the most powerful, 14 being the least, and 15 being deadly and out of control. People are classified at the age of ten when they are sent to the city like schools made by a company called Learn To Be. The story follows five students, four in section fifteen and one in section one as they try to survive school and each other.

Jester Quinn is the main character of the main five in which the central story revolves around. She is the first character to start working against the central antagonist (Jason) and make progress at interfering with his plans. Jesse Quinn starts off as a minor antagonist working against his twin sister Jester mostly because they don't get along because of their parents influence and Jester's duties she's forced to do by their father. Elena Taski is the most skilled fighter of the group talented with her control of fire, hand to hand combat, and multiple different kinds of weaponry. She was raised on an active military ship and was made to help in the war crimes committed as a young child. She was allowed to go to school with other children only once she was ten. Malcolm Lockhart is the oldest of the group and the one with the most optimistic view of things. He tries to keep a cheery and jokey disposition but has a temper and a strong sense of justice. It's one of the reasons why in the beginning he and Jester clash so often, he wants to fight bullies and sees her as one. Noah Treviti is the youngest of the group and the last of the main five to be introduced into the story. His main introduction into the story ignites the inciting incident as Noah's power is one of the most powerful and dangerous in their world.
